about
team
I worked with a product manger, developer, and several internal stakeholders. I was the main designer on this project, with the addition of some collaboration and feedback from other designers.
competitive research
I researched features and interfaces of competing political event platforms and non-political event management tools.
user research
I spoke with various campaign staffers to understand everything that goes into running and managing events, what was lacking in current political event tools, and what their highest needs were in event management.
users
There were two different sets of users for this project. First, an event attendee, who uses the campaign's event landing page to RSVP to the event. These users needed an easy way to sign up and manage their attendance to an event.
Second, the campaign admin who manage the event in PDI's SaaS platform for campaigns. These users needed to be able to configure and edit events, as well as view the event's performance.
event attendee designs
landing page
The event attendee landing page includes event information, campaign details, and a form field for RSVPing. These events could be virtual or take place at a physical location.
rsvp Flow
This flow shows the RSVP process. Once RSVPed, the user receives a confirmation on the site and via email and/or SMS. They also receive a reminder email and/or SMS closer to the event.
Previously, PDI had a clunky volunteer event follow up methods. They offered a non-automated way of sending an SMS to a volunteer. I designed automatically triggered SMS and emails configured by the admin. This allowed campaigns to follow up with their volunteers more easily, increase event show rates, and ultimately deliver more output.
